JYP Juniorit

JYP Juniorit is a junior ice hockey club from Jyväskylä, offering girls and boys a pathway in the sport from hockey school all the way to the U20 level. This is specifically the junior club – the Liiga team JYP is not part of this partnership. Children can start skating and hockey school as early as age three, and age is never a barrier to taking up the sport later either.

The JYP Juniorit community covers around 3,000 people including families: roughly 700 participants and around 200 volunteer coaches, instructors and officials around the teams and activity groups. The club organises more than 4,500 events every year, making it a significant regional organiser of sport and physical activity. After the U8–U10 neighbourhood hockey stage, children can choose either competitive age-group teams or the KESKIMAA recreational hockey programme. The club also runs girls' hockey, a women's team and the JYP Laukaa teams.

JYP Juniorit holds the Finnish Ice Hockey Association's Star Club (Tähtiseura) status, and its coaching standard is nationally recognised. The club's activities are guided by its 2026–2029 strategy and core values that put children and young people first. Through Sport Vertical, brands can build partnerships with JYP Juniorit as part of a wider sports network – as campaigns, sponsorships or other commercial collaborations.
