Noora Honkala

Originally from Lohja, Noora's first sport was football, but later running – and especially ultrarunning – took over. Years of determined training have taken her to the international top of the sport and to the world's best-known ultrarunning races.

The most significant achievements of Noora's career include a Spartathlon victory as well as Finnish records over various ultrarunning distances. In 2026 she ran her personal best of 7:27:03 over 100 kilometres and continues to work towards new international achievements.

At the core of Noora's athlete identity is the idea that in long efforts the mind ultimately matters as much as the body. For her, ultrarunning is a continuous exploration of her own limits – patience, learning from failures and the ability to keep going when stopping would be easier.

Outside sport, travelling, Finland and Greece, and a love of dogs are all strongly present in Noora's life. She lives and trains in an international environment where sport is not just competitions but a way of life.
