Riitta-Liisa Lassila

Riitta-Liisa Lassila is one of the best-known names in Finnish cross-country skiing. A long career at the top of the world, an Olympic medal, a World Championship title and five Olympic Games have made her familiar to Finns for several decades.

After her elite sports career, exercise, wellbeing and an active life are still a strong part of Riitta-Liisa's everyday life. Years of experience in elite sport have also brought a deep understanding of holistic wellbeing – beyond physical performance, it covers recovery, coping and mental wellbeing.

Riitta-Liisa has also trained as a life coach, and mental coaching is close to her heart. For her, wellbeing does not only mean exercise, but balance, feeling good and the ability to find personally workable ways to live an active and meaningful everyday life.

Alongside sport and wellbeing, Riitta-Liisa also enjoys being in the kitchen. Cooking and baking are a natural part of her everyday life and at the same time offer an entirely new environment for content – good food, doing things together and ordinary Finnish everyday life fit her personality naturally.
